Annual Campaign

The annual campaign is a once-a-year appeal to the parents and friends of the Sunny Hollow community to help cover costs. Fundraising continues to be a necessary part of covering the operational expenses of our non-profit school. Tuition currently covers approximately 80% of operational costs for each child attending Sunny Hollow Montessori. The remaining 20% is covered through fundraising. The annual campaign helps pay for those remaining operational costs not fully covered by tuition including salaries, supplies and general operation and maintenance of the facility.

Annual Plant Sale

Parent/Staff run Spring plant sale generates revenue for the school. All the revenue generated is rolled back into improvements in the garden and green space around the school.

Winter Gathering

The Winter Gathering is both a social event and fundraising activity coordinated by Sunny Hollow Montessori parents. Funds raised by this event are applied toward the successful operation of the school, student scholarships and capital improvements.

Other Fundraising Opportunities

Family Night Out, held several evenings a year, helps earn money for the school while Sunny Hollow families enjoy food at local restaurants. For example, Grandpa Tony’s, a locally-owned Italian restaurant in St. Paul serving pizza, pasta, sandwiches and salads, donates 10% of profits back to Sunny Hollow on designated evenings.

Sign up for a Target red card or Target VISA, designate Sunny Hollow as your school, and you’ll raise money for Sunny Hollow every time you shop at Target. Target donates 1% of dollars spent at Target and .5% of dollars charged on Target VISA elsewhere to the school.
